From Home to Highway: Living for God, One Mile at a Time
For years, our family poured heart and soul into building something extraordinary: a virtual reality experience that brings the story of Noah’s Ark to life. But God had a different chapter in mind for us—one we never expected.
We made a decision that many might consider extreme. We sold our home. We let go of our comfort zone. We packed up our lives into an RV wrapped like an Ark, and hit the road—on a mission to spread the Gospel through virtual reality, one mile at a time.
People often ask:
Was it easy?
What led you to make such a bold decision?
Were your parents pastors?
Why leave it all behind?
All these questions boil down to just one:
What happens when you receive a call from God?
When you're called, it's almost impossible to ignore it. As my wife put it, "If I don’t get on the Boat-RV, my husband will still move forward with his calling." That’s the kind of faith we’re talking about.
We believe Noah must have had that kind of faith too. Imagine building an ark in the middle of dry land, with no rain in sight, no precedent, and people laughing in disbelief. Yet he obeyed. That’s the kind of radical faith that changes lives. That’s the kind of boldness we are striving to live by.
We call it: Be Bold Like Noah.
The Flood of Emotions
The day we left Miami—our family, friends, and home church behind—there were tears. It felt like our own personal flood had begun. The pain of letting go was real, but so was the peace. We weren’t just chasing a dream; we were walking in obedience.
And as strange as it might sound, driving an RV styled like Noah’s Ark, with “Don’t Miss the Boat” plastered across the back, actually felt right. Yes, I felt a little awkward at first. But deep down, I knew I was carrying a message the world needs to see. I wasn’t just behind the wheel—I was an ambassador for Jesus.
Miracles at the First Stop
Our journey had barely begun when the first miracle found us. It was a rainy day, and we stopped for a quick break. I asked a kind lady at a kiosk about the best coffee they had. As she answered, she smiled and casually said, “If you end up buying one, I’d love a cup too.”
It was a small request—a coffee. I didn’t think twice. I bought her one.
When I handed it to her, she insisted that I choose a perfume from her kiosk—for free. I was taken aback. I hadn’t given her coffee expecting anything in return. I tried to decline, but she wouldn’t take no for an answer.
Eventually, I accepted a bottle for my wife. She asked what kind of scent my wife might like, and I mentioned she loved anything fruity. Without missing a beat, the woman handed me a perfume called Genesis.
I was stunned.
Genesis. A new beginning. A confirmation from God—clear as day—that we were right where we were supposed to be. That coffee was never about the coffee. It was God showing us that He’s with us on this journey, from the very first mile.
Millionaires or Missionaries?
Before we left, a close friend said something that stuck with us:
"There are two kinds of people who get to live like this—millionaires and missionaries."
And right then, it hit us: we are missionaries. Not because we have it all figured out, not because it’s easy, but because we’re willing.
This is just the beginning of our story. A story of obedience. A story of miracles. A story of saying “yes” to God—no matter the cost.
We hope you’ll follow along and be inspired. Maybe, just maybe, God is calling you too. Don’t miss the boat.
