From Mount Ararat to the Metaverse: Experiencing Noah’s Story in Virtual Reality
In 2020, we launched our first trailer after years of diving deep into Scripture—searching for answers about where the Ark landed and how it was built. So many questions still surround the story of Noah—how did he manage to build such a massive vessel? Honestly, we’re still far from fully understanding, and as we often say, what we’ve created is just a glimpse of how HUGE and awe-inspiring Noah’s Ark truly was. For me, it was already incredible to see it through our VR glasses. Now, it was time for others to experience it too.
Not long after that, we received a message from Allen Paul Searson—and it was incredible. Allen and his brilliant team have traveled multiple times to locate and find evidence of where Noah’s Ark might have landed on Mount Ararat. This has been a mystery for decades. But in 2004, Allen shared that he heard God say, “Go to the Mountains of Ararat. There are people seeking my Ark. I want it revealed, as a witness to the nations.”
When we spoke with Allen, his passion was undeniable. He shared everything God had shown him over the years, and all that had been accomplished on this journey. It felt like a divine connection. Time passed, and three years later, we were finally blessed to meet face to face—miles away from where it all began. We had arranged to meet on the road, and there we were, watching Noah’s Ark in virtual reality. Allen was blown away, recalling how it resembled the very Mount Ararat he had seen with his own eyes.
We truly believe there is still so much to explore and understand in Genesis 6 about Noah’s Ark—or perhaps, we’re not meant to have all the answers. Maybe the point isn’t to fully comprehend every detail, but to recognize that this story is ultimately about repentance and salvation. Our role? To prepare the way for the Lord and keep pressing forward in His work.
In the meantime, I’d love to share Allen’s contact: https://www.facebook.com/arkonararat/, as he gets ready for his next mission to Mount Ararat to continue spreading the Good News.
